Coffee table – light table designed by the Musicgroup Daft Punk in partnership with Tom Dixon. Manufactured by Habitat, London in 2004. The table was designed to give the impression of a dancefloor by having 9 different modes for constantly changing patterns of the 25 red light squares. Two modes react to music and changes the patterns with the beat. I will send a video of the enlighted table on request. Tabletop and sides are covered with thick black glass, the base and frame is made of wood. The table was produced in a limited number of 1000 pieces. Manufacturers label with company, model and date/production batch. Euro-plug. Small scratches on the glass – hard to capture. Mode-Switch and Electronics were checked by a Radio and TV Technician. On one side there where the glasspanels are glued together, the glass is a bit chipped along the joint, but no sharp edges.
