PAIR FOLDING-CHAIRS S88 BY OSVALDO BORSANI FOR TECNO

Set of (2) folding chairs, model S88. Designed in 1956 by Osvaldo Borsani for Tecno, Italy. These mid-century chairs have a black tubular steel frame with a multi-part hinge/joint. The legs rotate around a central point and the backrest can be unlocked with a pressure plate on the underside. Dimensions when folded: 50cm x 46cm x 17cm. Seat and backrest are made of plywood with teak veneer. The frame is made of blackened steel. With Tecno label on the underside and the classic Tecno “T” on the side. Used vintage condition. The mechanism works. Veneer with a pleasant patina, one chair has stains on seatarea. Veneer chipping on the underside of one chair. Partially unoriginal screw fittings.
